With the new EU Commission currently taking shape in Brussels, its approach to China is set to be one of the key policy areas that is critical for Europe’s success development in the coming years.

Alicia García Herrero (Bruegel) and Abigaël Vasselier (Merics) presented and discussed a set of recommendations for the EU's China policy agenda. The discussion was meant to tackle questions such as: What are the EU’s objectives in dealing with China? Can China adjust its policies vis-à-vis Europe so that the EU can fulfil its objectives? How do the US elections change the equation? What should be the top 3 European priorities in dealing with China?
