Plamen’s professional expertise relates to China’s development model and external economic relations. He has been looking closely into the impact of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in Southeast Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as on a global scale. In addition, Plamen has delved into the narratives projected by Beijing and the way the BRI has helped shape China’s global image.
