Focuses on the intersection of gender and technology in China
Mx Weronika is a graduate of Chinese and International Relations BA at SOAS, University of London, and Global Politics and Communication Master's course at the University of Helsinki. Weronika has previously worked with communications and marketing, and has supported the organisation of the international conference on human-centric data MyData 2023 in Helsinki. Having spent many years studying languages and even spending an academic year at the Beijing Normal University in China, Weronika displays an advanced level of Mandarin Chinese and an in-depth understanding of East Asian politics and international relations.
Their professional and academic interest are extremely diverse - Weronika dedicated their Bachelor degree dissertation to the subject of maoist feminism in China and also published their Master’s thesis on anti-LGBT+ propaganda in the Polish Catholic Church at the University of Helsinki.
Currently, Weronika works at CISAD and contributes to the project “European Hub for Contemporary China”, “EuroHub4Sino”.
