Her field of research is about Chinese migrants in France, and she is particularly interested in the notions of informal economy and ethnic economy as presented in the housing and work activities of Chinese immigrants living in Paris and its neighbouring cities. She is also interested to political movements of Chinese immigrants in local life in host country.

Recently, her new research project is on the places of memory of Chinese migrants both in China and in France, particularly through the museums dedicated to this population. She is interested in the question of what the representations of Chinese migrants are and how these representations are constructed.

Her research focuses on Asian migrations (to Japan and France) and on Asian communities and minorties. Special focus is made on female routes of migration (marriage, reproductive labour, sex work) and on mobilization, collective actions and political participation of migrants and their descendants.
